When it comes to public art, as an organization we offset a lot of costs that get incurred by the artists and for a project, for example liability and insurance as well as handling a lot of the administrative logistics, design components, engineering arrangements, and project management. Most importantly, we handle the community engagement and inclusion aspect for and with our artists. Our approach is unique as it prevents the tokenization of any of our artists and makes our projects more collaborative and streamlined. Additionally, all of our projects feature mentorship aspects, allowing us to help emerging Black artists and students get more experience in a rather competitive and difficult industry. As a result, we have a more amplified reach and impact and are developing more talent through each of our projects.
There are a lot of factors that go into the cost of producing a public art piece, such as whether it is meant for long term (over 10 years) or a short-term temporary installation. Because of this, we suggest setting up a meeting with our team so we can learn your needs and the budget you have in mind.
We currently do not sell any merchandise as of yet, but we can put you in touch with the artists of our collective, and you can purchase work from them.
