PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Inside Garvey Yard is an innovative virtual reality (VR) experience designed to immerse participants in the life and legacy of Marcus Garvey, Jamaica’s first national hero and the father of Pan-Africanism. Conceptualized by Quentin VerCetty and supported by AstroSankofa Arts Initiatives, the project envisions what a museum dedicated to Garvey might look like in Canada, specifically highlighting his historical connections to Montreal. This speculative approach provides a unique and educational exploration of Garvey's influence, utilizing the latest in VR technology to create an engaging and interactive learning experience.
