KAREEN "REENI 0DDONE" WEIR

MURALIST

Kareen Weir, a Jamaican multidisciplinary artist and Edna Manley College graduate in Sculpture, now exploring mural painting in Canada. Her work delves into themes of memory, representation, and Black identity using Jamaican Patwah as the primary form of expression. She debuted at the Art Gallery of Ontario in 2015, collaborating with Quentin VerCetty

and later winning an award for Outstanding Script Development during the PADI residency at Watah Theatre. Weir is a member of the Black Wimmin Artist collective and a graduate of the Mural Routes: Mural Art Career Development program.
