Executive Director and Founder
Quentin Vercetty
Quentin VerCetty, a Maltonian, founded the Black Speculative Arts Movement (in) Canada and AstroSankofa®. He is passionate about using Afrofuturism as an agent for social change and art education. He is trailblazer of monument making and public art amongst Black Canadians and aims to utilize his platform to shed more light on Black Canadian legacies and create more opportunities for Black creatives.

Gabriela Sealy
Gabriela Sealy,is a trilingual creative pursuing her master's at York University, studying African narratives in Panama through art. With a background in fashion, curation, and Carnival since summer of 2024 she has been bringing unique perspectives to the team and organization.

Samantha Dennis
Samantha Dennis, an award-winning Toronto-based visual artist of Jamaican descent. As an artist her work blends abstraction and realism to create vibrant portraits celebrating black bodies. Her work, driven by a need for representation, explores diverse black experiences and identity through her paintings. Samantha is passionate about helping youth and teaching children art and sees Afrofuturism as the perfect lens for engagement.

Korra Sodiq
Kofoworola Sodiq holds a Bachelor's Degree in Mass Communication and a Postgraduate degree in Project Management. She has experience as an SAP User Support and currently works as an Administrative Assistant, applying her diverse skills in communication and organization.

Tashauna Williams
Tashauna Williams, founder of Orchid Black & Company Inc., is a visionary leader with expertise in international business, finance, and event management. Armed with a degree in International Business Administration, she combines strategy, digital content creation, and design to empower businesses and communities. Her achievements include winning a 2016 sales competition and completing Franklin Covey’s 7 Habits of Highly Effective People coaching certification.

Destinee Cray
CRAY is a multifaceted, self-taught artist from Toronto, passionate about visual art, photography, and graphic design. Her work has been showcased at venues like The Drake Hotel and Jane Finch Mall, with commissions from organizations promoting social justice and awareness.

Kareen Weir
Kareen Weir is a Jamaican-Canadian multidisciplinary artist focused on preserving Jamaican Patwah and exploring communication's role in identity. A graduate of Edna Manley College, she works in sculpture and murals, and is also a graduate of the mural routes program. Her work reflects themes of memory, retention, and Black identity.

Kanisha Dabreo
Multi-disciplinary artist and digital designer Kanisha Dabreo has been exploring her creative expression for the last 5 years, with a background in marketing and web development. She is interested in the different ways to connect and inspire through visual communication.

Chelsea St. LaRose is a podcaster and Community Engagement Assistant from Toronto's Jane and Finch community. She leverages her local knowledge and connections to amplify community voices and facilitate projects that empower and uplift her neighbourhood.

Comfort, a high school student from the Jane and Finch community, is a talented young artist eager to learn how she can contribute to her community and enhance her skills. She is also passionate about teaching and sharing her knowledge with others.

Started creating art from a program facilitated by Quentin VerCetty in Rexdale in 2017 called Rexdale Youth For Change when he was 15 years old alongside his twin brother, Big Sylver is a rising talent with interest in muralism, digital art and 3d modeling.

Reezy Nuako
Rod Osei-Nuako, a Toronto-based artist from Jane and Finch, creates vibrant illustrations inspired by pop culture and his experiences. A graphic design graduate from The Remix Project, his work blends community empowerment, social justice, and nostalgic storytelling.

Zamani Ra is an award-winning environmental professional, Founder of CEED Canada, and advocate for climate action in underrepresented Toronto communities. She co-founded the Black Environmentalist Alliance and won the 2022 Women4ClimateTO award for her impactful work.

Andrea Boucaud, known as "PEACHTREE," is a Toronto-based cannabis advocate and community organizer. Creator of the podcast "Cloud and Roots with the Ganja Diplomats," she shares Black diaspora stories within cannabis legalization. With over 20 years in community development, she also champions social justice and fashion.

Bogaah Mensah has been in technology industry for the last decade, he specializes in web development with a background in graphic design and web coding. Beyond this he has a vast amount of experience and knowledge around Blockchain technology and the potential of Web3.

Saran James-Vuaghan
Saran James-Vaughan is a cultural curator and wellness advocate specializing in Afro-diasporic communities. She empowers individuals through decolonized wellness education and program development, focusing on menstrual health equity. Saran consults for Black community organizations, fostering growth, healing, and self-discovery.
